The below document outlines the new process for submitting Content Relocation to the Spotify Content Operations Metadata Team. This is for our licensed providers, non licensed providers such as managers should follow the process via Spotify for Artists (More information on that here.),
How do I submit a request for content relocation?
Step 1: Go to content-relocation.spotify.com
Step 2: Enter your company email address:
Step 3: Confirmation email will appear
Step 4: Check your inbox for an email from us with an 8 digit code
Step 5: Enter this code into the confirmation window
Step 6: You now have access to the Content Relocation Portal
You can now select which type of relocation you want, i.e. “My release is on another page”, “Another artists’ release is on my page” or "I need a release moved to a new artist page".
For more details on how to find Spotify URIs please check our Help Center article here. Please note that URLs are also accepted in the form.
If you want to move your delivered content from an incorrect page to the correct page then follow Steps 7a & 8a.
If you want to remove an incorrect product or track from your artist page then follow steps 7b & 8b.
If you want to move a product to a new artist profile then follow steps 7c & 8c.
Please note that URLs are also accepted in the form.
Step 7a: Select “My release is on another page”
Step 8a: Enter the album URI of the product(s) you want to move
Note: Please also use the album URI even if you wish to correct an artist mapping on a track on that product. Then enter the Artist Page URI where the product or track is currently located and then lastly enter the Artist Page URI of where you wish to move the product or track to. Please note only URIs are preferred over URLs. You can get the URI from Scatman or the Spotify desktop client by right clicking the product / artist, going to “share” and then “copy URI”.
The tool doesn’t support bulk requests of multiple products to multiple artist pages but you are able to move multiple products from one artist page to one other artist page. For example your artist “Billy” is due to release 2 singles, and they are both on the wrong “Billy” page, you could request for both products to be moved from the incorrect page to the correct page at the same time. To do this please enter multiple Album URIs in the box, and you can separate them by comma or space.
Step 7b: Select “Another artists’ release is on my page”
Step 8b: Enter the album URI of the product(s) you want to move
Note: Please also use the album URI even if you wish to correct an artist mapping on a track on that product. Then enter the Artist Page URI where the product or track is currently located. Please note only URIs are preferred over URLs. You can get the URI from Scatman or the Spotify desktop client by right clicking the product / artist, going to “share” and then “copy URI”.
